Quantic Dream went looking for what they described as the ultimate European guitarist. They flew Wolters to their Paris motion capture facility, where he became the source of the in-game guitar moves and the virtual guitar performance of Elliot Page's character.

Wolters began his professional career in 1994, when the heavy prog and fusion band Arabesque released their instrumental debut Beyond the Veil on Shark Records.

A long collaboration with the Finnish label Lion Music began in 2002 with Arabesque's second album The Union. It opened the door to a string of tribute albums dedicated to guitarists such as Uli Jon Roth, Gary Moore, Ritchie Blackmore and Jimi Hendrix.

The Arabesque chapter behind him, he launched a solo career with Workshop, quickly followed by Speed, Traffic & Guitar Accidents, which Metal Express Radio greeted by calling him a guitar hero in the making and Sea of Tranquillity named instrumental album of the year, and by Out of Order, featuring Virgil Donati.

In 2008 he joined brothers Matt and Gregg Bissonette on Shadrane's Lion Music debut Temporal, before self-releasing False Poetry in 2011, with Shrapnel Records' house drummer Atma Anur behind the kit.

From 2013 onward his path crossed Vivien Lalu's again and again: guitars on Atomic Ark, a short all-star live tour in 2014 that produced Live at P60, then Paint the Sky, The Fish Who Wanted To Be King and A Mythmaker's Demise.

In 2021 he self-released his fifth solo album Snapshot. Around the same time, Metal Blade Records announced him as the guitarist of A-Z, the band founded by Ray Alder and Mark Zonder, where he also contributed to the writing.
